A major controversy erupted in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, after residents caught the father of a senior IAS officer in an objectionable situation with a burqa-clad woman at his home. The incident, which took place in Baghpat town, was reportedly filmed by neighbors and quickly went viral on social media, intensifying public and media scrutiny.
Locals allege that the man frequently calls different women to his house, causing concern and an adverse impact on children in the neighborhood. Residents also accuse him of fraudulent occupation of properties—using fake documents and court notices to harass property owners and claim substantial amounts from them. Several cases are said to be ongoing in Baghpat courts against him.
In the video, neighborhood women can be seen confronting the accused, demanding explanations and rebuking him publicly. The man reportedly attempted to defend the woman with him and apologized to the crowd. Authorities say the man allegedly flaunts his relationship to an IAS officer to exert influence around the city and has unlawfully occupied several shops and houses.
Baghpat Police Chief Dixit Tyagi stated that no formal complaint has been received yet, but assured that appropriate action would be taken if a written grievance is submitted.
The scandal has triggered widespread debate on abuse of power and social responsibility, with locals urging legal accountability and moral conduct from those in positions of privilege.
