Bareilly, UP – Maulana Tauqeer Raza, the imprisoned chief of the Imam Council of India (IMC), is facing serious allegations from his daughter-in-law Nida Khan. Speaking to News18 and in a viral video statement, Nida Khan accused Raza of being responsible for the ruin of countless Muslims in Bareilly and asserted that his current time behind bars is punishment for his actions.

Nida Khan’s ongoing divorce case with Raza’s son is currently in court. In her interview, she revealed that she had suffered extreme domestic violence, to the extent that she lost her unborn child due to alleged beatings. She stated, “Maulana Raza is now paying the price for his deeds. Many families have been destroyed because of his influence in Bareilly’s Muslim community. I was beaten so badly that I suffered a miscarriage”.

In addition, Nida claimed that the IMC chief’s organization operates in a “Taliban-like manner,” misleading and intimidating innocent followers. She has appealed for justice and protection, saying that even now, she frequently receives threats and feels unsafe due to Maulana Raza’s supporters attempting to silence her.

Nida Khan also alleged that Raza’s followers attempt to intimidate her through phone calls and social media, and made clear that if any harm comes to her or her family, Maulana Tauqeer Raza and his associates should be held responsible.

Her explosive statements come at a time when Maulana Tauqeer Raza is already facing legal troubles, having been arrested and jailed following violence in Bareilly earlier this month. The court proceedings for both the violence and the domestic allegations are ongoing, with further investigations expected.

This case continues to spark widespread debate and concern about domestic abuse, religious leadership, and community influence in Uttar Pradesh.
