Dehradun, India – October 11, 2025:
India’s richest businessman and Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, visited the sacred temples of Kedarnath and Badrinath in Uttarakhand on Friday. The visit was marked by traditional ceremonies, special prayers, and a significant philanthropic gesture.

Upon his arrival in the holy land, Ambani was warmly welcomed by Hemant Dwivedi, Chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), who presented him with a traditional Uttarakhandi cap.

During his spiritual journey, Mukesh Ambani donated a total of ₹10 crore (INR 100 million) to support the development and upkeep of the Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines. The temple committee stated that the funds will be used for beautification projects, expanding facilities for pilgrims, and preserving the religious heritage of the sacred sites.

In addition, Ambani pledged support for the construction of a 100-room guesthouse in Badrinath to accommodate pilgrims.

Following the prayers and rituals at both temples, Ambani praised the management of the Char Dham Yatra, calling it “highly organized and well-executed” under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He noted that the arrangements made for pilgrims along the route were among the best he had seen at any pilgrimage site across India.

“I have been visiting Uttarakhand for nearly 20 years,” Ambani said, “but I have never witnessed such excellent infrastructure and facilities as in recent times.”

The business tycoon also lauded the Dhami government for its achievements, calling them “historic.” He predicted a significant rise in the number of pilgrims visiting Uttarakhand over the next decade and expressed confidence in the state’s continued development under CM Dhami’s leadership.

On a more somber note, Ambani expressed condolences over the recent cloudburst incidents in the state that resulted in loss of lives and property. He assured that Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation would continue to stand with Uttarakhand during times of need.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the preservation of the environment and spiritual heritage of the region. The Ambani family has previously played a key role in the beautification and maintenance of both the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples.
